Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026. This policy explains how expertupholds.online uses browser storage and how optional advertising measurement can be controlled.

Current design: optional Google advertising measurement is off by default. It is activated only when you choose “Allow measurement” and the site owner has added a valid Google Ads tag. Choosing “Necessary only” does not load the Google tag.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small pieces of data that websites and service providers can place in a browser. Local storage is a browser feature that can remember a value on your device. Websites use these technologies for functions such as preferences, security, analytics, and advertising measurement.

Some technologies are set by the website you visit (“first party”), while others are provided by another service (“third party”). Their duration can range from a single browsing session to a longer period unless you clear them.

2. What this site uses

Necessary preference storage

The site stores one first-party local-storage value to remember your measurement choice:

Purpose: remembers “granted” or “denied” so the banner does not repeat unnecessarily. Duration: remains until you change the setting or clear site data in your browser. Provider: expertupholds.online.

This preference is used to carry out your choice and is not used to build an advertising profile.

Optional Google Ads measurement

The codebase contains a Google tag integration point for measuring website visits and selected lead interactions, such as clicking an email link or preparing a project enquiry. The public HTML leaves the Google Ads ID and conversion label blank until the business provides valid values.

When a valid tag is configured and you choose “Allow measurement,” the site may load Google’s tag script. Google may then use cookies or similar technologies associated with advertising clicks, browser or device information, pages visited, referrals, and events to attribute and report advertising performance. Cookie names and retention can change as Google updates its services.

The site does not intentionally send the name, email address, phone number, location, or free-text project details entered in the enquiry form to Google. Enhanced conversions are not implemented.

The site supports the four current Google consent signals used for advertising and analytics:

  • ad_storage — storage related to advertising;
  • analytics_storage — storage related to analytics;
  • ad_user_data — sending user data to Google for advertising purposes; and
  • ad_personalization — personalized advertising.

These signals begin in a denied state. If you select “Allow measurement,” the site updates them to granted and may load a configured Google tag. If you select “Necessary only,” they remain denied and the Google tag is not loaded by this site.

The site also disables URL passthrough and enables advertising-data redaction in its default configuration. These technical settings support privacy choices but do not replace the business’s legal responsibility to determine which consent approach and notices are required for the jurisdictions where it operates or advertises.

4. Your controls

You can control optional measurement in several ways:

  • choose “Necessary only” in the banner;
  • use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer to reopen the banner and change your choice;
  • clear cookies and local storage using your browser settings;
  • block third-party cookies or scripts through your browser or device; or
  • enable a supported Global Privacy Control signal, which this site treats as a request not to activate optional measurement.

Clearing browser storage may cause the banner to appear again. Blocking technologies may affect measurement, but the site’s main informational content and enquiry preparation should remain available.

5. Third-party information

If optional Google measurement is enabled, Google is responsible for its own services and privacy practices. Review Google’s public privacy and advertising documentation for current details. Browser vendors also provide instructions for viewing and removing site data.

6. Updates to this policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated when the site adds or removes technologies, changes measurement providers, or responds to legal or technical developments. The date at the top will be revised when an update is published.
